How to get IT jobs

There are three main things that get you into a job in the IT field.
1. Certifications. ex. A+ and Network+, the easiest to obtain.
2. Experience ex. Short term PC contracts, some can last from two days
to 6 months.
3. Education ex. The more college, the better.
Once you improve in these main areas companies will start calling you
more and more.
However experience is the most valuable one out of the three.

There are 3 main ways to find a IT job.
1. Job Posting Websites ex. Craigslist.org, careerbuilder.com and
studentcenteral.com
2. IT Staffing Companies ex. Google them but tekSystems is best in the DFW area.
3. Networking around. ex. ask friends and store employees for
availiable IT positions.

My best advice would be to get a CompTIA A+ and Network+ certications
because they are easy to pass and most jobs require them. Most A+
certified professionals make at least $10 and up(greatly depends on location). If you want any
additional information about certifications then google them or just
reply back with quesitons.

If you're looking more towards the programming side, then I would
suggest learning .NET(Anyone of them), PHP, Flash or SQL(MySQL or
Oracle). The market is flooded with these jobs, so if you take the
time to learn the language and program a few useful projects then most
likely you'll be given an interview. Make sure you know the langauge
when you apply for a programming job because they will quiz you during
the interview.
